Love...The Beautiful Elements Of This Room! Designed by Bunny Williams

Turquoise Blue walls...Vintage Ikat...Hand-Painted Moorish Stars...A Quirky Red Chair...

A fabulous mix of elements that create a room so visually exciting, yet comfortable at the same time...

The interior styling is key to what makes a room beautiful...

A plentiful bunch of beautiful white ranunculas- always have fresh flowers in a room! Along with white ceramic glazed ginger jars, vintage turquoise vases and a well-stocked bar cart for entertaining!

Sarah Graham's Artichoke On Paper Paintings are lovely!

A favourite furniture design- the Tray Chic Ottoman from Bee Line Home by Bunny Williams

Add in the quirkiness of the Red Egg Chair from Design Within Reach- it's stylish and comfortable!

Cover painted chairs in Quadrille's Veneto fabric- one of my favourites!

Bee Line Home's Regale Arm Chair in the painted white finish

A bit of Eastern influence with the Taj Pillow Collection from Bee Line Home

Exquisite detailing- the Arabesque Throw is just incredible! -from Bee Line Home

The Chicken Feather Lamp, another Bee Line Home design, looks special with a custom lampshade like the one Bunny Williams added to her lamp...create your own shade with details like this...

Beaded Shell Trims...

This room has many of my favourite design elements! Designed for the Kips Bay showhouse by designer Bunny Williams. I was thrilled to see it featured as the cover of the August 2009 issue of House Beautiful! The magazine and Ms. Williams went beyond making the usual design statement. Though, maybe not all the elements fit as cohesive as many people think design elements should fit in a room setting- this is a room created to make one stop and look- and be wowed in one way or another! The entire issue is fabulous- Stephen Drucker and his editorial staff create one of the best shelter publications by far!

A Home of Beautiful Serenity...

A Los Angeles home is complete with ocean breezes and serene design...An entrance of rustic stone mixed with greenery...

Simplistic dining with uncomplicated florals...

Pattern enters in the form of suzani pillows and carved wood boxes...

A breakfast nook cozies up with comfortable cushions and a vintage pendant...

A relaxing reading area...

A spa style getaway in the bath...

Coastal views and breezes unite on this patio for lingering...

A Converted Farmhouse Becomes A Rual Hideaway...

The brightly painted white buildings of this converted farm stand out in the green countryside on South Africa's Western Cape.

The couple collected many vintage Danish pieces and reupholstered found furniture- all in a neutral color scheme.

A favourite vintage sideboard- the rustic quality makes it more beautiful.

Love the contrast of the warm wood tones with white paint and white slipcovers.

Tables become vanities topped with vessel sinks for the baths.

A collection of vintage art from London looks perfect surrounding a mirror and vessel sink.

The homeowner designed this wooden painted headboard to mimic their farmhouse gable, the chandelier is also a custom design made of hollowed-out ostrich eggs- ingenious!

A lovely four poster canopy bed is painted bright white-looks beautiful with the carved detail.

Fabulous Finds...Shell Inspired...

My favourite accessories are shell inspired -shimmering mother of pearl covered handbags by KARA...

A whimsical bauble for the wrist...shells in sterling silver by shells4you.com or Prada's shell earrings surrounded by 14 karat...

Shell discs dangle from a bracelet (priceuk.com) while a cut shell makes a contemporary statement on a silver cuff from simple-designs.com...

The show stopper has to be the exquisite design of this ring from simple-designs.com...I would not call it simple-
don't you agree?

The "just bling" dangling shell earrings are another fun-for-the-season style...from comparestoreprices.uk
It doesn't have to be summer to wear these fun pieces- though the beach-going weather makes it the perfect time!
